Socially Inspired – Entrepreneurship for You(th)

We are glad to invite you to a training course called «Socially Inspired – Entrepreneurship for You(th)» that will take place from 27th November to 2nd December 2017 in Zagreb, Croatia. The travel days are 26th November and 3rd December. The TC will gather 33 participants from Croatia, Cyprus, Italy, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Romania and Spain.

What is the project about?

Social entrepreneurship is a business model which focuses on the benefits it can bring to society and environment rather than concentrating exclusively on a financial profit. It is becoming more and more recognised by the European Union which allots increasing sums for supporting social enterprises.

Our aims are to:

  • increase youth workers’ knowledge and experience about the principles behind social entrepreneurship.
  • equip youth workers with practical tools for working with young people in the field of social entrepreneurship education.

In order to achieve this, the training course is based on a concept, «the tree of life». The activities will be devided into three groups:

  • the roots: It is important for young people, who are at a crossroads, to connect with themselves, discover their life vocation and find their psychophysiological nature in order to specify what they want to do in life. For social entrepreneurship, it is also crucial to develop right values that will drive the person to establish projects that bring added value to the society.
  • the trunk: When young people recognise their talents and abilities, it is important for them to realise if their business idea is relevant for the labour market. Apart from that, it is significan to develop skills and characteristics that will be helpful in implementing the idea, such as time management, prioritising, self-discipline, etc.
  • the crown: Before a person can harvest the fruits of their labour, it is useful to get acquainted with some best practice examples in order to learn directly from social entrepreneurs.

Whom are we looking for?

  • If you are a youth worker committed to your job,
  • if you work with youth educating them in the field of entrepreneurship and/or employment,
  • if you want to learn new tools and non-formal education methods,
  • if you want to broaden your horizons about entrepreneurship and pass it onto your organization,
  • if you want to see good practice examples in social entrepreneurship across Europe,
